Short answer: November is in the cool season: days around 25.5°C, nights around 20.4°C, sea 22.3°C and choppy but easing seas. It is an ordinary month for visitor numbers, neither peak nor trough. Wildlife highlights: sea lion pupping season, galápagos fur seal breeding season, whale sharks at darwin island.

Weather in November

  • 25.5°Caverage high, Puerto Ayora
  • 20.4°Caverage low
  • 22.3°Csea temperature (#9 of 12)
  • 9 mmtypical rain over 3.5 rainy days (middling)

The cool season runs roughly June to November. November is drier at the coast, often grey and misty in the highlands, with southeasterly winds that make the sea choppier. The upwelling of cold, nutrient-rich water is what makes the marine life so active.

Compared with October (21.7°C sea) and December (23.2°C), November is warming up.
